Kommentar: Jag hade totalt missat att det fanns en TV-serie med samma namn som den här serien där vi får följa Alfred Pennyworth, Batmans trogne betjänt, i hans ungdom som hemlig agent i Hennes majestäts hemliga tjänst. Bond blandat med superhjältemys låter inte dumt alls.

Kommentar: Kang the Conqueror är en favoritskurk i många skepnader från Marvels universum som nu äntligen (tack vare den mycket sevärda TV-serien Loki på Disney+) introducerats i Marvel Cinematic Universe. Själv föredrar jag dock originalversionen men är försiktigt avvaktande till denna serie, mest för att jag inte känner igen några av skaparna.
WINTER GUARD #1 (OF 4)

Kommentar: Soviet Super-Soldiers, The People’s Protectorate, Supreme Soviets eller Winter Guard. Kärt barn har många namn och jag var väldigt förtjust i den första laguppställningen efter ett minnesvärt Hulk-nummer som kom ut på 1980-talet på svenska. Det här är också en titel knuten till Marvel Cinematic Universe, närmare bestämt Black Widow där både Alexei Shostakov (Red Guardian) och Yelena Belova (den nya Black Widow) presenterades.
DEFENDERS #1 (OF 5)

Kommentar: Defenders ligger mig mycket varmt om hjärtat, särskilt Steve Gerbers hejdlöst galna och fascinerande run på 1970-talet, men även senare versioner som den av Matt Fraction och Terry Dodson för några år sedan. Nu är det dags för Al Ewing att ta sig an icke-teamet och med tanke på vad han gjort med Hulk i den mycket läsvärda titeln The Immortal Hulk så ser detta mycket lockande ut.

Kommentar: Skaparna bakom det Eisnernominerade fantasyäventyret Middlewest, det vill säga Skottie Young och Jorge Corona, kommer med en helt ny mörk historia som handlar om en konstnär vars inre demoner sätter käppar i hjulet för hennes konstnärskap, plus ett hemsökt hus.

Kommentar: Teamet bakom den hyllade Batwoman-titeln från början på 2010-talet, J.H. Williams III och W. Haden Blackman, är tillbaka med en helt egen historia Echolands som annonserades redan 2018 men som nu äntligen ser dagens ljus. Det är ett episkt äventyr som vilken utspelas i en värld med en gömd historia som är en mystisk mix av robotar, cowboys, vampyrer, pirater och allt annat härligt du kan tänka dig. Serien handlar först och främst om Hope som är en tjuv som stjäl något värdefullt från en despotisk trollkarl, flyr tillsammans med sina vänner och utforskar världen och alla dess hemligheter.
DARK HORSE COMICS
KILLER QUEENS #1 (OF 4)

Kommentar: Queera lönnmördare i rymden? Varför inte! Killer Queens är en kärleksfull parodi och hyllning till science fiction-serier från 1950-talet sett genom moderna LGBTQI-glasögon och som, enligt egen utsago, vänder upp och ner på välkända koncept och scenarior vi sett förut i sf-genren.
THE UNBELIEVABLE UNTEENS #1 (OF 4)

Kommentar: The Unteens, bestående av Jack Sabbath, Kid Boom, Snapdragon, Straka och Strobe, är fiktiva tonårshjältar med superkrafter skapade av Jane Ito, eller finns det någon djupare och mörkare sanning bakom teamets ”existens”? Detta är twisten i Jeff Lemires metadoftande spin-off i det ständigt växande Black Hammer-universat och återigen får han sällskap av illustratören Tyler Crook (Cononel Weird: Cosmagog).
LUCKY DEVIL #1 (OF 4)

Kommentar: Cullen Bunn är hjärnan bakom en mängd läsvärda skräckserier som Harrow County, The Sixth Gun, The Empty Man och många fler men han senaste projekt, Lucky Devil, är lika mycket en komedi som en berättelse om att vara besatt av demoner och början med en exorcism som går åt pipsvängen.

Kommentar: Eat the Rich är en psykologisk thriller om de onämnbara fasor som döljer sig bakom den perfekta fasaden hos de rika som har allt, men hungrar efter mer. Premissen påminner lite om Get Out och är författad av Sarah Gailey, en prisbelönad science fiction-författare med titlar som The Echo Wife, Magic for Liars och Upright Women Wanted i sin katalog.
