Kommentar: Den femte (och för tillfället sista) titeln från Hill House Comics är författad av Joe Hill och tecknad av ingen mindre än Stuart Immonen. När Joe Hill skapade serien tänkte han sig vad som skulle kunna hända om en oljerigg började leta efter olja vid den sjunkna ön R’lyeh, känd från Lovecrafts berättelser. Kosmisk terror ligger därmed nära till hands och det gäller definitivt det som hänt besättningen från fartyget Derleth som plötsligt återvänder efter att ha varit saknade i 40 år. De har inte åldrats en dag, har drabbats av någon fruktansvärd infektion, har inga ögon…men kan se och göra saker som är bortom all vett och sans. Stuart Immonen har tagit det väldigt lugnt sedan hans exklusiva kontrakt med Marvel Comics gick ut, men han har ingalunda legat på latsidan. Han och hustrun Kathryn har skapat den flippade och läsvärda rymdoperan Grass of Parnassus (Instagram) och han meddelade också när han lämnade Marvel att han gärna hoppar på ett nytt serieprojekt om det verkar lockande…och det ser Plunge verkligen ut att vara.

Kommentar: Med tanke på vad Disney gjorde med Mandalorian så är jag supertaggad på alla kommande Marvel-TV-serier som kommer att visas exklusivt på Disney+, som till exempel Falcon & Winter Soldier. Kommentar: Jag började läsa första numret av Blackwood när den första volymen dök upp men trots att jag gillar både Evan Dorkin (Beasts of Burden) och Veronica Fish (Spider-Woman, SLAM!, Archie), där hennes make Andy Fish stod för både bakgrunder, layout och textning, men serien grep inte tag i mig, trots att jag gillar ockulta serier med unga vuxna. Ska ge första volymen en chans till innan jag bestämmer mig för om jag ska hoppa på den andra.
